Sustainably Driven Environmentally Focused.
At Columbus Yellow Cab we have foundationally rebuilt who we are and what we stand for which has been one of the most powerful things we’ve done. Our willingness to risk everything, to do what is right for our community, our employees, and our drivers has come to define us as who we are.
In the past five years we have made huge strides to become something that we are proud to share, proud to use, and proud to be a part of. We had a vision, an idea that has become an integral piece of our core beliefs at Columbus Yellow Cab. A vision to become a transportation company that does not compromise on it’s social, environmental, communal impact. Many have called us crazy, but what can you expect? The thought of change is often met with opposition. The unknown can be difficult to comprehend and even more challenging to navigate, but we believe that this change, this forward thinking, is what leads to progression.
For over 90 years we have adapted to, shifted with, and inspired innovation amongst our community and within our industry, but have never parted ways with our reliance on petroleum. A future based on fossil fuels is not a future that is sustainable, and at Columbus Yellow Cab, we realize that our decisions impact the lives of everyone on this planet. That’s why we’re turning to clean fuel options and to vehicles with zero direct emissions. It’s why we’re attending smart-city and energy summits around the world. It’s why we’re constantly trying to innovate and push our industry into the future. Each day we make our decisions, whether they are big or small, that we hope will encourage you to follow your own beliefs and make choices that impact everyone positively. No one person will ever drive enough miles to create a noticeable footprint, 7.53 billion people driving will.
Annually our efforts to become sustainable save 93,442 kWh or 70.42 tons of CO2.
Which is equivalent to:
on the road
Our efforts remove 15 cars from the streets per year
Back at home
We currently save the annual CO2 generation of 8 single-family homes
In the wild
Our actions are equal to 1,146 tree seedlings grown for 10 years
It's the beginning
We have only just begun to go carbon neutral
